NPD Officers, NFD Firefighters, Norman City Council Members, and the Mayor all take part in the night attending various community events.Ĭommunity members or neighborhoods wishing to hold an event in conjunction with Norman’s National Night Out should complete a registration form by October 1. National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.Įach year, we have over 50 events hosted by neighborhoods across Norman. The event will feature crime prevention information, food trucks, kid-friendly activities, and first responder vehicles for residents and children to explore. In addition to neighborhood events, a community-wide event will be held at the northeast corner of the Sooner Mall parking lot near Safety Town. We need people to staff the booth from 6 to 9 pm.

This year SCARS will have a booth at this event in conjunction with the Norman Emergency Response Team. The event was postponed to this date due to the possibility of severe weather.
